Kriol S. left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with P.Luanda. Defending Senegalese champion ASCVD still keeps top position with one game lost. P.Luanda dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kriol S.'s 42. P.Luanda forced 24 Kriol S. turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. P.Luanda looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Kriol S.'s players. Center Yanick Moreira (208-1991, college: SMU) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Childe Dundao (169-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists. Five P.Luanda players scored in double figures. P.Luanda's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Sierra Leonean guard Richaud Pack (192-1992, college: Maryland) produced 17 points and Portuguese-Cape Verdean Ivan Almeida (197-1989, college: Stonehill) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Defending Angolan champion maintains third position with 1-2 record having just four point less than leader Al Ahly Tripoli, which they share with defeated Kriol S.
